86% population received two vaccine doses: MoPH

About 86 percent of the population have received two vaccine doses of COVID-19 in Qatar, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has said.
In a statement on Tuesday, the MoPH said a total of 5,125,842 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered since the start of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Programme.
The MoPH added as many as 7,065 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the past 24 hours.
So far, a total of 210,811 COVID-19 booster vaccine doses have been administered in the country, the MoPH added.
Meanwhile, Qatar on Tuesday reported 183 new COVID-19 cases — 136 among community and 47 among travellers.
As many as 148 people recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in Qatar to 243,933.
